The Internet is playing a significant role in the lives of human beings. It was observed a few years back that addiction to smoking and drugs are common among the masses but nowadays, the Internet has become an addiction for the people belonging to different age groups. Gadgets like android mobiles, laptops, and iPhone's are easily available in the market, and most people tend to use them habitually. These gadgets have become quite easy to buy for anyone around the globe and the availability of various companies has made these devices available at very low costs. The regular use of these accessories has maligned the basic human interactions and impacted the way people perceive life. Medical science has coined the term “Internet Addiction” because people use the internet and mobiles round the clock.

Internet is turning out to be more of a noxious dynamic when it comes to its grey side which has do with the human ethics in which one cannot keep him or herself away from it and it is consequential for society from various social, psychological and physical problems irrespective of gender. It has been observed that 8 out of 10 females and 4 out of 10 males upload their status during an event or in the space of 10 to 20 minutes.

Excessive use of the internet on the cellphones has given rise to the phenomenon of introvert philosophy, it is almost rampant to the schragen of the society. It is general syndrome of Internet addiction. Internet users are more focused on outer beauty rather than inner beauty. The concept of self-love instigates people to think and focus on others’ points of view. The continuous addiction and affection of the internet are delimiting vision, approach, critical analysis and ideas. One can comfortably deceive others with deceitful looks and comments. Bunch of individuals around considers those remarks as true which makes one in becoming delusional and can get without difficulty away from reality.

Facebook, Twitter, Whats App, Instagram, and Google are the most frequently used platforms of the internet. Over billions of people across the globe are using the Internet in their daily lives. Among these five, Google is most important domain of the internet, ocean of knowledge is stored and the data can be extracted easily but its use is not helping and profiting the users, for example, most of the people use it for the sake of entertainment and pleasure rather than acquiring knowledge and using it for educational purposes.

As the internet provides every possible luxury and facility of life which is resulting in the demise of one’s creativity and thinking ability. The Internet has taken us by storm as one is always busy using it day and night, there is no time limit. Using the Internet is important in the life of every single person but the overuse can lead anyone into the depths of destruction and devastation. Balance is important to live a happy and healthy life, one should utilize time on the Internet in achieving the targets and knowledge. Otherwise, consequences can get worse like one can suffer from various physical, mental, cultural and social problems through the continuous use of the Internet.

Too much use of social media has blocked the corridor of person to person communication. As one has no time for one on one talk. In past, every individual was healthy and strong due to having the proper diet and exercise but as we are living in the 21st century which is considered as the modern age and it has provided man with every basic facility of life and yet, a fellow has no time for him or herself. Instead of taking a rest or doing something creative, one gets again busy in using these accessories. Isn’t it ironic? There is no pattern of using modern gadgets as one is busy using it in the parks and mountains to get some pictures where one only aims to visit to get pleasure and can enjoy it. The influence of the Internet is beyond our control. Every single person has developed and attached the sentiments to it.

There is no problem with using the internet whether for studying and knowledge or entertainment and pleasure but being dependent can cost many problems. One should be wise enough to know what is right or wrong. The authenticity of the data on the internet is very bleak. The internet provides one with shortcuts and options but it can never replace the essence and importance of conventional methods like searching, exploring and reading books. As Francis Bacon said, “Reading maketh a full man, conference a ready man and writing an exact man”.
